Background

Savoy Engineering Group (SEG) is an engineering firm specializing in a unique niche of the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry. They provide software to help their clients choose the most appropriate heating and cooling systems for commercial and residential buildings.

Challenge

After establishing a solid client base, SEG decided they were ready to expand their business. However, they were faced with the task of achieving this with a limited budget. They discovered that online marketing was the most appropriate and cost effective method they could employ to achieve this.

SEG understood the simple formula for increasing sales:

                                A top ranking on search engines = more traffic = more sales

Gaining a top ranking on search engines was crucial for them because over 90% of all online traffic to websites is gained through the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo! and Bing.
